    The answer is B. Microevolution is simply a change in gene frequency within a population over time. This change in genetic frequency could be attributed to mutations, genetic drift, gene flow and natural selection. This change happens over a relatively short (in evolutionary terms) amount of time as compared to in macroevolution where is where greater differences in the population occur over time.
