    Explanation:

    All the living beings from plants to animals are made up of carbon, and so is carrot, being a part of a plant. When an animal, say rabbit, consume this carrot, they receive the carbon from the carrot in the form of carbohydrates and proteins. This carbon combines with the oxygen in the animal cell to produce energy and also releases residual carbon in the form of carbon dioxide. Hence, after consumption of carrot by the rabbit, the matter in the carrot is converted to energy and carbon molecules.
