Two parents think their baby was switched at the hospital. It's 1968, so DNA fingerprinting did not exist. The mother has type "A" blood, the father has type "O" blood and the baby has type "AB" blood. List the (A) mother's genotypes, (B) father's genotype, (C) baby's genotype, (D) ALL possible genotype of any offspring they might have and (E) Was the baby switched?

    (A.) Mother's genotype: OO

    (B.) Father's genotype: AB

    (C.) Baby's genotype: BO

    (D.) All possible genotypes:

    AO

    BO

    (E.) Not necessarily! It is entirely possible that it is real offspring of the parents.
