What advantages are given to animals and plants by asexual reproduction?

    I suppose this kind of reproduction have following advantages:

    1. The heredity of the seedling is basically the same as that of the mother plant, which can maintain the excellent traits of the mother parent with little variation.

    2. As the development of new strain is based on the mother plant, it can accelerate it's growth, avoid the long period of physiological (developmental) stage, flowering and getting the results early.

    3. For some plants, if they are not easy to fruiting or produce seeds, asexual reproduction is conducive to the conservation of germplasm.
