The answer is anticodon.
Anticodons are base triplets on transfer RNA (tRNA). t RNA carries amino acids to the ribosome for protein synthesis. The prefix anti - suggests that anticodons are complementary to the codons on mRNA. Codons are base triplets on mRNA. So, anticodons of tRNA pair with codons of mRNA in the process of protein synthesis.
