The lenticels of certain plants have the same function as the lungs (in animals) and stomata (in plants).

    Explanation:

Lenticels can be described as aerating pores present in certain plants which allow gaseous exchange. Lenticels can be found in organs like stem, roots, tubers etc. The lenticels are active during the night, hence allowing gaseous exchange when the stomata do not function.

The lenticels have the same function as the lungs. The lungs are also the site for gaseous exchange in animals. They are similar to the alveoli of the animals.
