What is the function of the pigment molecules in a light-harvesting complex in the thylakoid membranes?

    The pigment molecules are present in the light harvesting complex of the thylakoid membranes which are responsible for the harvesting photons and for the transfer of light energy to the chlorophyll molecule which is present at the reaction center.
