    Explanation:

    The human excretory system is composed of the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder and urethra. Kidney nephrons flow into collecting ducts, which unite to form increasingly thicker channels. The fusion of the ducts gives rise to a single-channel called the ureter, which leaves the kidney toward the urinary bladder.

    The urinary bladder is an elastic wall pouch, endowed with smooth muscles, whose function is to accumulate the urine produced in the kidneys. When full, the bladder may contain more than ¼ liter (250 milliliters) of urine, which is periodically eliminated through the urethra.
