You can scratch graphite with your fingernail. What does this tell you about graphite?

    This tells us that graphite is malleable

    It tells us its not very lustrous

    Explanation: lustrous means that something is very shiny for example a diamond and is graphite is shiny you wont be able to scratch it with your finger nail.
