When analyzing dna microarray results, why are colors turned into ratios?

    The number of cells in a sample is indicated by the intensity of colour, with the

    brighter the colour the larger the number of cells and the duller the colour the smaller the number of cells. This method can compare the abundance between tumour and normal cells.
