    The answer is explained below.

    Explanation:

Bioremediation is a natural process that involves the use of living organisms, primarily microorganisms like microbes and bacteria to remove, break down or transform contaminants, pollutants to less toxic forms.

    Examples of Bioremediation

Mycoremediation: is a form of bioremediation in which fungi which is performed by the mycelium are used to decontaminate the area. What mycelium does is to secrete extra cellular enzymes and acids that break down lignin and cellulose, the primary building blocks of wood. These same enzymes can break down a wide range of toxins that have similar bonds found in wood. Bioventing: is in-situ aeration of soil that combines soil venting, which removes volatile components from the soil, with bioremediation which uses the oxygen from the vented air for the remaining organic contaminants. Bioventing technique is used to add oxygen directly to a site of contamination, and it can be used where the contamination is deep under the surface. It is an excellent option for treating petrochemical contamination. Bioaugmentation: bioaugmentation frequently involves the addition of pollutant-biodegrading microorganisms indigenous or exogenous into a microbial community in an effort to enhance the ability of this microbial community to biodegrade contaminants. At sites where soil and ground water are contaminated, it is used to ensure that the in-situ microorganisms can completely degrade contaminants to ones that are nontoxic in nature.
