An advantage of Asexual reproduction you only need one parent to produce the offspring, so the time frame is shorter. Sexual reproduction requires 2 parents, but the offspring is genetically different form the parent. In asexual reproduction the offspring is genetically identical to the parent. Asexual reproduction is well suited for organisms that remain in one place and are unable to look for mates, in environments that are stable. However, sexual reproduction requires significant energy on the part of the organism to find a mate.
