What are the chances that a man with hemophilia and a normal women will have a daughter with hemophilia?

    Hemophilia is a sex-linked disorder. Meaning that male offspring are more predisposed to inheriting the disorder than female offspring. This is because the male is XY while the female is XX. The Y chromosome carries very few genes, therefore, is the allele for the disorder on the X chromosome are recessive, it is likely that they will develop the disorder. This is unlike the female who has an extra X chromosome that has the working gene if the other X chromosome has a defective gene.
