Why are ecosystems with grass better for herbivores than ecosystems with trees?

    Herbivores are living creatures that consume plants. They don't eat trees because they don't eat wood. They eat organic plant matter such as grass and leaves. They also eat fruits such as berries.

    They need the grass to graze on. They can't eat wood.
