    If we have a population of rabbits with a frequency of q which would be 0.37 in this case then we have to use this number and substract it from 1 to receive the frequency of p.

    The formula therefore is 1 - q = p.

    When we add this into our data, we see that p in this case is 0.63, as 1 - 0.37 = 0.63.
