Why is aerobic cellular respiration more efficient than anaerobic cellular respiration? What is often a by-product of anaerobic respiration?

    Aerobic cellular respiration generates much more ATP per molecule of glucose than anaerobic cellular respiration. Anaerobic respiration occurs under situations where there is no oxygen available and has a by-product of lactic acid!
