    B) Microcollection and dilution of blood samples for the WBC count

    Explanation:

The Unopette is a method that involves the microcollection and dilution of obtained blood sample for the purpose of getting a white blood cell (WBC) count. This pipetting system is accurate, convenient, easy and precise.

In the Unopette method, blood is obtained from the patient and the whole blood of the patient is then added to a diluent (3 percent acetic acid solution). When the diluent mixes with the blood, it hemolyzes or lyses the red blood cells while retaining the white blood cells or leukocyte which can be counted.
