Osmosis and diffusion are both of examples of?

Well, think about the types of transportation that happens between the surroundings of the cell and outside the cell. First of all, both of them are passive transports, which requires no energy for materials to move from high to low concentration (this is the opposite of active transport). Second of all, diffusion requires protein channels from the cell membrane to move materials in and out of the cell. Osmosis, the other type of passive transport moves water in and out of the cell. Just so you know that there are three types of osmosis. There are called isotonic, hypertonic and isotonic. That's all you need to know for now!
