    Explanation: Epiphyseal plates is a part of a long bone, were new bone growths take place. Puberty is the transitional period from childhood to adulthood, through the development of sexual characteristics. In early puberty the height of a child increase, this is called growth spurt. This growth spurt may decrease in late puberty after epiphyseal fission in late puberty, that is, after growth plate closure in late puberty.
