Most fad diets focus on restricting certain types of foods and nutrients. What do you think would happen if someone ate an extremely low protein diet without the approval of a doctor? What side effects might the person experience?

    Protein builds and repairs body tissues. So, a person who eats a low-protein diet might experience symptoms such as slow wound healing. This person might also start losing muscle mass because the body uses skeletal muscle to make protein when needed.

    They would most likely experience fatigue, headaches, missing certain nutrients or vitamins if they are doing the low protein diet incorrectly.
