Krebs cycle cannot directly produce significant chemical energy which is adenosine triphosphate. The cycle Instead, produces NADH and FADH2 which are electron carriers, which then enters the respiratory cycle.

    It is the major aim of the Krebs cycle to synthesis the electron carriers that is released into the cytoplasm to be used in cellular respiration.
