Differentiate between a response to a stimulus and an adaptation

    A response to a stimulus is a physical response carried out to a certain stimulus such as insects moving away from light which is only carried out at a particular instant for an organism, Adaptation is a physical change in the phenotype or behaviour of an organism that is formed after constant exposure to a certain stimulus.
