    Telophase can be described as the last phase in mitosis as well as meiosis. Telophase is also termed as the fifth phase of mitosis. In this phase, the mitotic spindle gets disassembled. Each daughter cell gets enclosed in a membrane. The chromosomes or chromatids become decondensed. The nucleoli reappear during this process. Two nucleoli form, one for each daughter cell.

    Finally, the process of cytokinesis occurs which results in the separation of the two daughter cells.
