Embryos of different species can have similarities in their anatomy before they divide into different organism in adulthood. An example is the energy of a bird and a human. While they may share the same feature in the embryo, the forelimbs of the bird embryo later develop into a wind while that if humans develop into hands. The similarity of the embryo shows homologies between different species.
