    These are the Mechanoreceptors. They are sensory receptors that respond to mechanical pressure, or distortion and bending of the tissue. They are called mechanoreceptors since they are designed to detect mechanical sensations or differences in pressure. They are mainly four types; glabrous mammalian skin, lamellar corpuscles, tactile corpuscles, merkel nerve endings, and bulbous corpuscles.
