    Animal welfare and ethics related to the fair treatment of animals. Although many scientists acknowledge that the use of animals in testing is clearly an ethical issue, the justification for the use is supported by the end result of benefits for humans. As an example, the cattle are being genetically modified for some purpose to increase production of milk or meat, which benefits humans by providing more readily available nutrients for living. And, like it or not the support for a such a program is funded by industry which requires the most effective production capabilities and includes genetic research to achieve these ends.
