If separating the context of where DNA is found in, with regards to whether it is a prokaryotic or eukaryotic cell, it would be found in different places, for a eukaryotic cell, DNA is located within the nucleus, found as loosely arranged chromatin, where as in prokaryotic cells, DNA is located simply within the cytoplasmic region of the cell, in bacteria, this specialized region is called the nucleoid. Where it is folded and or condensed in this region with the aid of proteins.
