Net movement of molecules across the nuclear membrane until the number of molecules on each side is nearly equal

    Explanation:

The net spontaneous movement of the molecules of a solvent through the selective membrane to an area of higher concentration of the solvent is the process of Osmosis.

By this process in a solvent separates the 2 solutions of various concentrations. The pressure through which the movements were initiated is the 'osmotic pressure'. The membrane should be permeable for molecule movements.

Movement of water from an area of lower solute concentration to an area of higher solute concentration

    Explanation:

Osmosis is movement of only WATER. Diffusion would be the moving of any other substance other than water.
