Average temp is about 50 degrees F. Average rainfall is 30 to 60 inches. Animals living here must adapt to hot or cold weather. Leaves generally fall in the fall leaving the animals with less coverage from predators. Many flowers, but not much vegetation.

A deciduous forest is a forest comprised of trees that shed their leaves every year. These leaves fall off in early to mid fall, where they decompose during the winter, and new leaves are grown in the spring.

This is different from the opposing tree, the evergreen tree. This tree possesses needles, and is the only tree species that doesn't lose its "leaves" during the fall season.
