Cellular respiration is a continuous process of oxi-dative breakdown of food to release energy. Human body cells need energy to carry out various life processes (excretion, digestion, respiration etc.) so there is a continuous need of respiration. and if it suddenly stopped it will result in cessation of glycolysis as a result a cell cannot get energy.
