    Fungi are eukaryotic organisms belonging to the kingdom fungi that are very widespread in most Earth habitats where they are primarily involved in recycling of nutrients and the decomposition of organic matter such that they aid in completing the food web and enabling the balanced ecosystem

    In humans, fungi have the harmful effect of causing illnesses such as asthma, eye infections and are likely associated to alzheimer's disease as well as several other serious and some potentially lethal health conditions

    However, fungi are known to aid humanity in such aspects including;

    Natural pesticides

    Agriculture

    Food production

    Medicine

    Fungi which are pathogen of specific insect pest aid in the minimization of the harmful effect of pests on food crops such that microbial fungi pesticides can be sourced in the market
