In a food chain, assume clover → mice → hawks. What would happen to the mice population if clover became extinct? A. The mice population would increase. B. The mice population would stay the same. C. The mice population would decrease.

    C. because if there was no clovers, the mice can not feed, and if the mice can not feed they will starve out and die.
