The classification of the organisms are done on the basis of their characteristics and differences among them. DNA sequencing is the most appropriate methods of the organisms classification.

The DNA analysis can be misleading as well. This mainly occurs in the case of analogous traits as these traits are similar to some homologous traits. The similar environmental conditions can also leads to the misleading of the organisms.
