    This is a false statement.

The disclosure of an abuse is a very difficult situation for the abused, much more if the abused is a child. There are many cases where the child eventually takes back the disclosure of the abuse, approximately 23% of the cases of child abuse. This does not happen because of false allegations, it has been proven that their initial disclosure was true. The recantation happens most of the times because a member of their family, one of the parents probably, does not believe the abused child and influences the child to change its testimony.
