If the demand for copper increases but the supply remains the same then the price of copper will increase because the amount of people buying it have increased, but because the suppliers are at a constant rate of production it costs more to get the copper, and so it costs more for the suppliers to buy the copper. So in order for the suppliers to break even they have to increase the price of the copper or risk losing the money. So your answer is D.
