Proteins are called the building blocks of the body. They're needed for growth and development and to repair the normal wear and tear of the body. The body needs to digest proteins to make them available to fulfill these functions. Arrange the steps of the digestion of proteins in the correct order.

1) Amino acids enter the bloodstream and are circulated throughout the body.

2) Amino acids are absorbed by the capillaries in the jejunum.

3) In mechanical digestion, the teeth grind food and break it in to smaller parts.

4) Churning and the enzyme pepsin break down protein in the stomach.

5) Trypsin and chymotrypsin act on the proteins to break them down in the duodenum.

6) The pancreas releases the enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin.
