Your city announces plans to decrease the use of fossil fuels and increase the use of clean energy sources. It plans to build a wind farm to provide electricity to homes. It will also offer financial assistance to install solar panels on houses. There is a town meeting to answer questions about the plan. If you went to this town meeting, what questions would you ask? Come up with at least five questions. Consider both the advantages and challenges of each energy source as you develop your questions

The questions should involve mostly concerns related to the new energy type (clean energy source) and the abandoning of the old energy type (fossil fuels).

    5 example questions:

    1. Where will the funds for the development of the renewable energy stations come from? How will it impact the families' budget? (Clean energy sources have a high development cost)

    2. What will be the backup plans for when there isn't enough energy produced because of weather variability? (Clean energy sources are dependant of the weather and other climate fluctuations.)

    3. Where would the wind farm be built? Will we have enough space for all the city's energy demands? (Clean energy sources occupy very large areas when energy is needed in large scales.)

    4. Will this clean energy sources be efficient for the city's energy demands as fossil fuels might've been until now? (Fossil fuels can be used in low quantities to originate large amounts of energy. Efficiency.)

    5. How will the energy from the clean energy sources get to the houses and other places? (Fossil fuels are very easy to take anywhere and easy to transport.)
