If a cell has 12 chromosomes, how many chromosomes will each of its daughter cells have after mitosis and cytokinesis? and can u explain because i dont understand

    12 chromosomes.

    After mitosis and cytokinesis each daughter will have 12 chromosomes, same as the parent cell.

    Explanation;

    Mitosis is a type of cell division that takes place in somatic cells or body cells, where a cell divides in to two daughter cells, that have the same of number of chromosomes as the parent cell.

    Cytokinesis is the process where the cytoplasm of the cell divides to form two 'daughter' cells after the division of the nucleus.

    After mitiosis, each daughter cell will also have 12 chromosomes. Cytokinesis is just the last stage of telophase, where the cell completely forms the two daughter cells. Telophase does not form chromosomes.
