Why is there a trade-off between survivorship and fecundity?

    Answer:Because when you survive you grow. Fecundity is the reproductive rate. So you like human beings when you grow up you usually make more. Because that is the circle of life

    Resources such as time and energy are limited, so survivor-ship and fecundity cannot both be maximized simultaneously.
