Fasting is process of voluntary abstinence from food whereas, starvation is a complete deprivation of food. The starving and fasting individual looses weight affected by the different rates of loss of body weight on the basis of the body parts. The least essential tissues loose weight considerable at a faster rate later on the tissues and organs consisting of high fat content loose weight at a slow rate.
