    The common cause of gout disorder is presence of excess amount of uric acid in the blood. The excess uric acid formed crystals in the body joints. Gout is a type of arthritis which can affect the ankles, wrists, knees, feet, elbow, etc. Presence of excess uric acid in the blood is called hyperuricemia. Uric acid is obtained from the break down of purines in the body.
