Grasses → mice → cat → coyote

A natural disaster of a fire has occurred what could happen to this food chain?

A. The grasses will be gone and all of the consumers will be able to leave.

B. The grasses will be gone and some of the mice will die but the number of cats and coyotes will remain the same.

C. The grasses will be gone but the number of consumers will all stay the same.

D. The grasses will be gone and any surviving consumers will have to look for new resources in that environment.

E. Nothing will happen to this food chain.

    Because after the grasses burn off, the mice will be left to feed on any other stuff they can find while the cats will feed on the mice and the coyote will feed on the cats to survive.
