    B: basic is any number between 7 and 14. Therefore, D and E can not be correct. C cannot be correct because 7.0 even is neutral. A cannot be the answer because human blood is only slightly basic. 10.6 is too far above 7 to be considered "slight". Therefore, the answer is B.
