    The movement that they permit. There are more Synovial joints in the body than any other type of joints and their distinguishing fact is by how and the type of movement that the permit. The ability of a bone to move without any interruption in the body is done by a synovial joint and this is aided by the presence of cartilage and also a joint cavity. There are about six different types of this joint in the body and they are planar, hinge, pivot, condyloid, saddle finally ball and socket joints.
