"Marine iguanas" the hideous and stupid animals swim, feed on algae and contribute hours basking on the rocks. Then there exist giant tortoises, they weigh as much as 250kg. Amidst the birds, some cormorants cannot fly and they have heavy little wings and there are numerous different varieties of finch. The islands do not have frogs and till humans arrived, there was no existence of mammals like rats or cats. Reptiles can go for months without feeding or dissipating, can hover there on driftwood. Frogs are killed by salt water and have no access to progress across the sea.
