Transgenic plants are plants in which DNA from another species has been introduced into the plant's genome. In order to identify plants that integrate a transgene, we need the termination sequence. A transgenic plant differs from a hybrid plant because h ybrids are produced through sexual reproduction between sexually compatible parents whereas transgenic plants are created by transferring the specific genetic material governing a particular trait from a non-compatible organism.
