    Explanation: Adventitious roots are also called fibrous roots because their structure is just like fibres. There are two types of roots in plants. The roots which emerged from the seed is called tap roots. These roots are present in shrubs and trees etc, while those roots that are emerge from stem or leaves is called adventitious roots. These roots are present in cereals such as wheat and rice.
