What must happen to the levels of aba and gibberellins in a seed in order for it to germinate?

    As a seed, it contains high amounts of the ABA hormone. The ABA content in a seed would be lowered or decreased before it undergoes germination. In contrast, the gibberellin levels would increase. Hope this answers the question.
