-The only difference between monohybrid and dihybrid crosses is the number of traits being looked into. A monohybrid cross is when the offspring of homozygous parents that only differ on a single trait are bred to come up with the second generation. On the other hand, a dihybrid cross is pretty similar to a monohybrid cross except that the parents of the first generation differ in two traits.

A similarity will be they both show the probability of traits the offspring can have.

-A homozygous trait is when two of the same kind of alleles combine to form a trait. Think of this as traits in common in two different creatures which will continue in their offspring.

. Heterozygous is a trait when two different kinds of alleles combine to form a trait. When this occurs there is a dominant and a regressive allele in the pair, and the dominant allele will indicate which trait the child will get.

Similarity: the two is that they are terms used to describe alleles that are found on a particular gene. If you have homozygous alleles, then both of them are the same. If you have heterozygous alleles, then the two of them are different. In the case of sex chromosomes, females are homozygous, having XX while males are heterozygous, having XY.

-The genotype of an organism is the genetic code in its cells. This genetic constitution of an individual influences - but is not solely responsible for - many of its traits. The phenotype is the visible or expressed trait, such as hair color. The phenotype depends upon the genotype but can also be influenced by environmental factors.

The genotype-phenotype distinction is drawn in genetics. "Genotype" is an organism's full hereditary information ... The genes contribute to a trait, and thephenotype is the observable expression of the genes (and therefore the genotypethat affects the trait
