    True Starting a controlled forest fire destroys invasive species and dead debris and cleanses the ground and lower hanging dead brush. In addition, many of the pinecones have evolved to increase their seed disbursement when under fire or high heat. This allows the woodlands to regrow with a "reset" to the area in a fitter and more efficient manner.
